Ex-OpenAI Researcher Urges Companies to Add Guardrails
Miles Brundage argues firms should adopt audits and governance steps now.
Miles Brundage published a Guardian opinion piece stating he worked at OpenAI and supports the Pacing the Frontier letter from AI employees calling for government intervention on frontier systems. He adds that companies can and should move first on four preparation steps including company audits. Gary Marcus reposted the article and agreed that firms must act independently while regulation develops.
