TLDR

Neowin reports that Microsoft 365 Family and Premium plans are replacing individual 1TB OneDrive allocations for up to six users with a shared 2TB pool. New and upgraded subscriptions get shared storage from October 8, 2026; existing subscribers switch after their first renewal on or after May 2, 2027. Microsoft says the pool offers more flexibility because one person can use space others do not need. Some eligible existing subscribers may receive an unspecified storage bonus.
