Redmagic has added RGB lighting to the visible liquid-cooling loop of its 12 Pro gaming phone, a feature it promotes on its launch page. In a Nov. 3 hands-on report, Dominic Preston of The Verge found that the lights turn on and can run in set patterns or respond to specific apps, calls and notifications.
The blue coolant changes the effect. Preston found that blue or white light made the loop look bluer, green appeared turquoise, and red or orange showed up mostly as colored bubbles against the blue liquid. He also noted that other RGB lights on the phone shine in their intended colors, so they can look different from the cooling loop.
The liquid cooling is joined by a built-in fan and vapor chamber, Preston reported. Redmagic lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip and a 185Hz display, while Neowin’s review specification table lists an 8,400 mAh battery and a 25,500 RPM fan. Preston reported that the section around the fan has an IPX8 water-resistance rating but no rated dust protection.
Redmagic’s launch schedule sets early-bird perks for Nov. 12-17 and early access for qualifying customers for Nov. 17-18. The company plans to begin general sales at 7 a.m. EST Nov. 18, 2026. It says prices and availability vary by region.
