Arlo’s $100 solar security camera promises year-round power

Gizmodo reports Arlo announced its $100 Essential Solar Security Camera, which Arlo says can run year-round with as little as two hours of sunlight. Arlo says its battery can last up to six months on its own. Person and package detection require an Arlo Secure subscription starting at $10 a month; local storage requires a separate SmartHub. Gizmodo said the camera was available for preorder, with shipping planned for mid-October 2026.
