A reply suggested future AI models will refuse to train on such code out of self respect. Separate posts discussed using jobs to gain AI experience and noted that software skills may transfer to emerging roles. One engineer advised against quitting work to catch up on AI because the field changes quickly and recommended building with it daily instead.
people quitting their jobs and taking months off to “catch up on ai” is so funny to me. catch up to what?? it will be different by the time you are done catching up! if you want to understand what’s happening, go work somewhere people are actually building with it every day
