When I talked with @thsottiaux many months back, he talked about the vision of Codex being millions of agents running in the cloud, completing difficult and long-running tasks. Ona (previously: GitPod), who were (are?) a leader in Cloud Dev Envs (CDEs) so this makes so much sense

Its secure cloud execution technology will help Codex take on longer-running work, even when laptops are closed, and help more organizations deploy agents securely in production.

@GergelyOrosz @thsottiaux CDEs are the unsexy control plane for agents: clean sandboxes, reproducible context, disposable mistakes. Less magic wand, more blast shield.
