Reading the tea leaves, access to Chinese models by US-based frontier labs will shut down, just as it has for social media and AI chips. The Chinese will be convinced that their models are going to be "good enough", just as their hardware is "good enough." There is zero possibility that Chinese governance will become dependent on US AI.
