Single authors reportedly submitted up to 40 papers recently.
I don’t understand why there are no limits on max papers per author yet—no way anyone can meaningfully contribute to more than ~5 papers max

@Kenneth_Marino @CVPR The whole tail seems absurd, even with resubmitting and such I find it difficult to believe that if your number of submissions is greater than 5, all of them are meaningful
Absolutely insane graph here. I’m sorry, if you wrote 40 papers for ACL, no you didn’t. @CVPR put a cap and a bunch of other reforms to try to head off the paper-pocalypse. ACL was caught flat-footed and now it sounds like they’re getting absolutely dogpiled by angry reviewers.

@Kenneth_Marino @CVPR Even 10 is pushing it. I probably max out at 4 or 5 as far as contributing meaningfully (assuming most paper writing happens in the weeks leading up to the deadline)

@soldni +1 and i find it outrageous that some here are bragging about having submitted 300 papers in this year's cycle...

Even without the outliers it's concerning.
