EA reportedly plans to shut down BioWare and cut around 400 jobs

Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reports that EA plans to shut down BioWare and cut around 400 jobs, an estimate attributed to a person familiar with the plans. A staff letter reviewed by Bloomberg lists the next Mass Effect game, still in early development, among projects being cut. EA also outlined plans to keep investing in sports games, Apex Legends and other projects.
