Anthropic files an S-1 for a proposed IPO

Anthropic says it filed an S-1 for a proposed IPO. Bloomberg figures relayed by Techmeme put its H1 2026 net loss at $80.7 billion on $16.3 billion in revenue, compared with a $13 billion loss on $1.2 billion in revenue a year earlier. Techmeme, citing the Financial Times, says nearly $9 billion of the 2026 loss came from computing power and infrastructure, and that Anthropic has nearly $800 billion in commitments over 10 years.
