Albert Wenger posted a question on X asking for favorite definitions of the singularity and whether we are already inside it. Cocktailpeanut replied that it is a spectrum of human experience. Dan Robinson cited Vernor Vinge and said models still predict the near future so we are not there yet. Dankrad Feist described it as an exponential whose time horizon shortens gradually. Joshua Schachter called it a boundary where normal rules break down. Joe Weisenthal said you know when you are in it and that asking means we are not.
