The role is newly created and McCarthy will work with chief revenue officer Dali Rajic to build out the sales organization and accelerate international growth. McCarthy joined SpaceX through its acquisition of Cursor and previously led global revenue and field operations there. He has also held senior enterprise sales roles at Rubrik, ThoughtSpot, AppDynamics and Qlik. The hire comes as OpenAI and Anthropic compete more aggressively for enterprise AI spending ahead of OpenAI’s expected IPO
