More seriously I think Jensen is BIG MAD about losing Chinese market. It'll eventually be worth trillions, he had absolute lead, and now, due to export controls + internal Chinese restrictions, it's forever out of his reach. So he'll cripple competitors at home to make up for it.

Usually see better from SemiAnalysis this isn’t quite accurate reporting this time. Nearly every neocloud I know, including Lambda, has non-NVIDIA networking gear in their cloud. Many neoclouds, including ones invested in by NVIDIA, have alternative accelerators too.
Reality is that NVIDIA is the only accelerator that’s available in every single cloud and that’s why it makes the most sense for Lambda and others to invest in Blackwell and Vera Rubin. Platform is valuable because it doesn’t require users to rewrite their code when they use multiple clouds. Pretty simple and boring truth. But conspiracies get views I guess.
