Andrew Wilson Joins Perplexity AI as Research Lead
Perplexity founders confirm appointment with focus on open research in continual learning and multi-agent systems.
Andrew Gordon Wilson posted that he is joining Perplexity AI as research lead for open work on continual learning and agent collaboration. CEO Aravind Srinivas replied that Wilson will report to Denis Yarats and lead efforts on continual learning, synthetic data, and long-horizon RL environments and architectures. Denis Yarats added that the team is building large-scale RL infrastructure focused on multi-agent collaboration, plans to share a research agenda soon, and intends to open source much of the work while recruiting. Replies on X include congratulations from researchers and a pun suggesting the company rename itself Epiplexity.
