@pfau I think to them that’s part of the point. It does two things at once, destroy science and academia and destroy high skill immigration.

Yup. Evict PhD students. God forbid they add to human knowledge if they're foreign! [My mom was a foreign PhD student in the US, 1976 - 1980. 5 years. Would have been sent back to the corrupt dictatorship of Egypt. Humanity would have been poorer. I ~wouldn't exist.]

This is such a disaster. A CS PhD takes on average 5–6 years. So, my international students will fall out of status before finishing their research program. Disaster.
