MultiversX Plans Brief Transaction Pause for Faster Blocks
MultiversX will temporarily stop new transactions to speed up its blockchain via the Supernova upgrade.
CryptoSlate reported that MultiversX plans to pause new transactions for about 24 minutes on Sept. 10. The pause precedes a reduction in block times from 6 seconds to 600 ms. The Supernova upgrade also targets sub-250 millisecond finality and faster cross-shard settlement. As of Sept. 1, 95.35 percent of the chain's 5,171 nodes had not yet updated to the required software version.
