@draecomino We spend $7 TRILLION per year. Trillions in our taxes go to FOR PROFIT companies every single year. I’d the US govt is the largest creator in the world.
It’s correct the profits should be redistributed to tax payers if we are the ones funding them.

a more structural theory i have is schooling (in general) prioritizes critical thinking over creative or generative activity; it's more reactive, easier to grade, scalable
and left wing thought in general is enframed by deconstruction, critical theory/studies, etc the focus is all about taking what exists and tearing it a part, restructuring it, etc
generativity, building, creation are all afterthoughts and are just assumed to "happen"
the "activism" is usually a reaction to what has already been created
That's the socialist/communist view of the economy. That it's a fixed thing that just needs to be divided up and rationed. Capitalists view the economy as something that can grow and expand as much as needed and those who participate in it can benefit from it according to their abilities.

Because socialists come from the class of people who seek social status above all things. Entrepreneurialism involves taking risks and you don't have status at the beginning.
Status seekers are always short-term thinkers: They go for the most prestigious school, then the most prestigious job. So they will seek existing institutions and work with those rather than take the risk of making something on their own.
@draecomino Ai is trained off the backs of an uncountable number of artists and writers. You could make this same argument back at AI. What is AI if not the synthesis and spitting back of all human creation. All the internet has helped train Ai we should all benefit from it's success.
