Samsung's stable One UI 9 update is reportedly moving into a wider deployment on September 28, bringing additional regions and carriers into the Galaxy S26 rollout and adding several 2025 flagship models.
NPowerUser reports that the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra are next in line, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. The update is built on Android 17.
The publisher also expects the Galaxy S26 series rollout, which began in selected markets, to reach more carrier variants and regions across Europe, Asia and North America. Galaxy S24 devices, the S23 FE and selected A-series phones are expected in later waves during October.
One UI 9's reported changes include customizable Now Brief cards, contextual Now Nudge suggestions, the My FanCam subject-tracking mode, and expanded security alerts for risky permissions, unfamiliar installation sources and suspected scam calls. Foldable models are also due to receive multitasking and Flex Mode changes adapted to their screens.
The date should not be read as a guarantee that every eligible phone will show the download at once. Large Android updates normally move through regions and mobile networks in stages, with carriers performing their own checks. Users can look under Settings, Software update, then Download and install, but a missing package on September 28 may simply mean their model or carrier is in a later batch.
