GitHub Actions had degraded availability and delayed workflow starts on October 5

In an October 5, 2026 update, GitHub said Actions was experiencing degraded availability. It was investigating job failures and delays assigning GitHub-hosted runners and starting workflows. Some customers also could not access repository lists, licensing and billing pages; GitHub said it was working on mitigation.
