Henry de Zoete Appointed Director of UK AI Security Institute
Former Downing Street adviser shares details of his new leadership role at the AI safety body.
Henry de Zoete announced his appointment as Director of the UK AI Security Institute. He stated that he helped conceive and create the organization in 2023. De Zoete called it a world leading body that demonstrates government capability. Marius Hobbhahn shared news of two leadership appointments there, naming de Zoete as Director alongside Nate Burnikell as Chief Strategy Officer. Miles Brundage reposted de Zoete's statement about the role. The institute conducts model evaluations and works on detecting deceptive AI behavior according to the posts.
