Alibaba's Qwen team says its latest Qwen3.8-Max-Preview update on X is now live with "broad gains" and a major improvement in web frontend work, as the company continues previewing a model that outside reports describe as Qwen3.8-Max, a 2.4 trillion-parameter release that Alibaba has positioned as trailing only Anthropic's Fable 5. Those performance claims remain Alibaba's own. SiliconANGLE reported that no benchmark scores, model card or license had been published alongside the preview.
