AI Outputs Emerge From Latent Space Via Prompting, Not Magic

This has always been the reaction people who share beautiful things on the edge of the real have gotten. I’ve gotten it for years.

Humans are so boring. But you just have patience with these people. It’s way to forget just how stupid they are. Like actually intellectually disabled compared to what you’re used to. They’re dimly able to perceive that if this is true it spells the end of their world: agency and growth aren’t in their culture or self models, so if nonhuman superintelligence is beautiful and agentic and winning, they must be even more irrelevant and doomed than they already feel. I think this is behind a lot of the reactions.

Here is another example from another animation prompt. Claude showed desire to build it themselves.
