Recruiter Struggles To Fill EPAM AI Leadership Role With Excessive Requirements

That's part of the problem here: EPAM is a known outsourcing company (hence the lower tier). An insanely long contradictory requirements list+lower status+no comp = few qualified applicants!

I never criticized the recruiter. I'm criticizing the JD, which we know does NOT come from the rectuiter. And for not listing comp, that is also NOT from the recruiter.

The hiring manager (who is not the recruiter) needs to change thing if they want to fill this role (it's been open for 2+ months now)

@GergelyOrosz EPAM is a body shop. People go there to gain early career experience, not to apply their tech leadership skills. The only way they can recruit to this kind of role is either promote or offer a lot of money. I don't think the job listing in itself is even a factor.

Outsourcing companies have pros. They, unforuntately, will be struggling more now

@donjundon29 @GergelyOrosz Well, I don't know about the tech culture in NY, but over here, when you get a consulting job where you have to do sales pitches, coaching and managing of engineers, architecture and hands on coding, you're just setting yourself up for failure, regardless of how hungry you are.

@GergelyOrosz If they expect qualified people to apply they will have a hard time. There is a shortage of qualified people who have long AI experience, client-facing experience AND seniority...these specific people are being vacuumed up from the market. The market isn't the same for everyone.
