Apple reportedly plans second-generation MacBook Neo for first half of 2027

Apple plans to release a second-generation MacBook Neo in the first half of 2027, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, as reported by MacRumors’ Joe Rossignol. MacRumors presents it as a reported plan, not an Apple announcement.

Rossignol writes that Gurman previously mentioned an A19 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM and new color options for the successor. By comparison, MacRumors says the MacBook Neo released in March 2026 has an A18 Pro chip and 8GB of RAM. The current model comes in Silver, Blush, Citrus and Indigo. MacRumors does not specify the successor’s colors, a release date within the reported window or its price.
