AWS re:Invent Promotes Hands-On Sessions and Engineer Networking
Reactions from ranked influencers
2 postsThe best time I've had at tech conferences has been sitting down with the people who built the tools I use. Dollar for dollar, nothing beats the ROI of bringing a problem to those folks and having them walk you through the solution. AWS re:Invent is almost here. 2,200+ sessions, and about 70% of them are hands-on or discussion-based: chalk talks, workshops, code talks, and small tables. This is a code-first conference. There are two reasons you want to attend: First, if you're stuck on any AWS product, bring your real architecture and your constraints and work through them with the engineers who built it. Second, you'll be sitting next to some of the best builders in the world. Honestly, this right here is worth the trip alone. Some of the best insights I've learned came from the person next to me, not the stage. By the way, there will be on-site cert prep and discounted exams too, if you want to leave with something concrete. This is happening in Las Vegas, November 30 to December 4. The early-bird discount takes $1,200 off, from $2,499 to $1,299, if you register by August 25. You'll need a business email.
