Apple reportedly releases iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2 with more Siri AI languages

Apple released iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 on Oct. 26, MacRumors reports. 9to5Mac reports that macOS 27.2 Golden Gate is also available. The updates expand Siri AI support to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, according to both outlets.

On iPhone, Apple's release notes as reproduced by MacRumors describe a Siri AI feature that recalls past conversations. They also say Siri AI can draw on photos attached in Messages, Calendar event attendees, voicemails, Safari history and Reading List. Those are descriptions in the published notes, not a measure of how well Siri answers questions.

Installing iOS 27.2 does not, by itself, make Siri AI available on every iPhone. The notes reproduced by 9to5Mac list all iPhone 16 models and later, plus the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, as eligible. They also say Siri AI is unavailable in the EU and mainland China.

Separately, the iOS release notes published by 9to5Mac describe suggestions in Messages based on a conversation, such as adding a dinner invitation to Calendar. The outlet also reports profiles in the Apple TV app and changes to Apple Music and Podcasts. For iPhone Duo owners, 9to5Mac reports support for Apple Pencil (USB-C), but not Pencil Pro or other Pencil models.
