Numeral raises $100 million to expand automated sales-tax compliance

Numeral raised a $100 million Series C led by Insight Partners, with Salesforce Ventures, Geodesic, Benchmark, Mayfield, FCVC, Y Combinator and Uncork participating. The company automates nexus monitoring, registrations, tax calculation, filings, remittance and exemption certificates, and says it supports VAT and GST workflows in more than 90 countries. Numeral plans to spend the new capital on product development, new industry offerings and hiring; no valuation was disclosed in the inspected report.
