Microsoft has marked the Windows Insider Program’s 12th anniversary with 10 new wallpapers, according to Neowin. The program began in 2014 alongside the first public preview of Windows 10, giving enthusiasts and IT professionals early access to upcoming builds while Microsoft collected feedback.
Five designs, each in light and dark
The collection consists of five designs, with light and dark versions bringing the total to 10. Neowin reports that Microsoft drew inspiration from the Insider Program’s history and its latest Surface design aesthetic.
Colorful gradients run through the set, though Neowin describes the images as more minimal than some of Windows 11’s default wallpapers. The result is a coordinated collection rather than 10 entirely different compositions.
Anyone can download the set
Microsoft initially shared the wallpapers with Windows Insiders by email, but the files are not limited to program members. The public Microsoft Design ZIP contains all 10 images.
That makes the anniversary set available to anyone who wants it, whether or not they run an Insider build.
