Meta resumes Muse sharing after researchers flag discoverable artifact links
The Verge reports previously shared artifacts have new URLs; old links tell visitors to ask the sharer for one.
TLDR
The Verge reports Meta restored Muse sharing and changed old artifact URLs after researchers warned that shared pages could be found. The Next Web reports security firm Claroc found more than 6,800 pages in one passive DNS search, including a loan application and a company’s revenue review. Meta’s David Singleton says the issue affected artifact sharing, not chat sharing; visitors to old links are directed to ask the sharer for new URLs.
