Adobe Premiere is now available on Android, bringing Adobe's mobile video editor to phones and foldables roughly a year after the company launched the iPhone version.
According to 9to5Google's report on the launch, the Android app centers on a multitrack timeline for combining video, music and sound effects. Its listed tools include audio cleanup, templates, transitions, creative assets and Adobe Stock integration, with editing and export up to 4K. The app also has a built-in voice recorder and layouts optimized for foldable phones.
The release gives Android users a new Adobe-branded option as Premiere Rush approaches its September 30 support cutoff. Adobe's 2025 announcement said the replacement Premiere app would arrive on Android after its iPhone launch.
Adobe says the Android app is free to use without ads, watermarks or a Creative Cloud subscription. The company offers optional purchases for additional generative credits and storage, according to the report. The current requirements are Android 13 or newer and at least 5GB of RAM.
Adobe also says it plans to add Adobe Fonts for text overlays, desktop-project transfer, beat detection and cropping. Those are future additions, rather than features users should assume are included at launch.
