Apple Intelligence launches in China in December with optional access to Alibaba's Qwen
Apple Intelligence's China page highlights writing tools, live translation and photo cleanup, with an iOS 27.3 beta planned first.
TLDR
Apple has confirmed a December public release, with an iOS 27.3 beta planned ahead of it. In mainland China, Apple's own models will power features, while users can choose Alibaba's Qwen to extend Siri, visual intelligence and writing tools. The planned rollout follows a lengthy regulatory delay that kept Apple Intelligence out of the region.
