~95% of my AI agent usage is Slack+Git via Hermes. i barely use apps or TUIs now. benefits: -never locked into 1 LLM -threads and channels split and share context -all chats accessible by any agent, just copy the link -can add context from work, invite others to use -mobile

Positive users find routing 95% of AI agent work through Slack and Git cool and practical while negative users highlight the confusing initial setup that takes hours to configure.
downsides: 1.the initial config setup is super confusing and hard to navigate at first, prolly takes like 2-3 hours for a decently comprehensive initial working setup, but easy after that
2. most labs have p bad slack integrations tbh, didnt end up using the claude or codex bots

the only thing kinda missing is thinking traces when coding. this is slightly annoying, but u get used to it w clever prompting and verification flows.
