Positive users note that giving LLMs more personal data yields better design responses, while negative users argue AI inherently lacks taste and cannot replace human vision.

"At some point I stopped playing the game actually."
"I figured out that it was a lose-lose. Either you do well, and you've lost because people afterwards are like, 'How could you? I trusted you.' And you just feel terrible."
"Or you've literally lost like I did those games."

@zoink Thank you to @CGarrett_15 for great questions

@zoink @CGarrett_15 Dylan: "Then it's: what are the properties of that software?
I think network effects matter. Network effects can show up not just in social or human situations—in collaboration or social networks—but also in marketplace liquidity. That's its own network effect."

"I think distribution of customer base matters.
I would also say that boring software is not to be undercounted. Or things that people would call boring—I wouldn't call boring.
There are so many problems where the folks who are living the problem every day don't have that default impulse to go build software for it, and yet it's a huge problem."

@zoink @figma

"Finally, I would say the data liquidity that you can establish, and how that can create context, and how context can create capability in a system—that's its own flywheel.
If you get that flywheel right, I think it's very value-accruing to the customer in a way that can be extremely useful."

@MollySOShea @zoink didn't know my goat was ovo :(

@MollySOShea @zoink Even at small scale this can be proven out. If you give the LLMs more info about you, it's responses will be better.
There is value in the data itself, the application of it, and the raw model ability

@MollySOShea @eladgil @zoink The permanent underclass of zero taste is real. Technology amplifies vision, it doesn't replace it.

@MollySOShea @zoink The flywheel only spins if you own the distribution too. Data compounds because usage feeds it, so whoever has the customers generating the data wins, not whoever scraped the biggest pile once. A great model with no users is a stranded asset.
