@markgurman M7 will be worth the wait for step tracking

touchscreen Mac is a terrible idea. macOS is meticulously designed for precise cursor inputs, not fat-finger gestures. Pushing touch onto a laptop screen is just Apple finally caving to Windows OEM trends from a decade ago, which will completely ruin the ergonomic flow of the device.

@markgurman @VadimYuryev, you were right!

@apollozac @markgurman step tracking ?

@apollozac agreed

@markgurman Apple playing its cards close to the chest with M5 and M7 chips double down on OLED MacBooks by 2027.

@markgurman Woohoo! Looks like I’ll be holding out then 🙌 awesome news

@markgurman Glad to see OLED is still planned!

@apollozac @markgurman deep cut

@markgurman As a kid it was waiting for christmas - now it‘s Apple Silicon 😅

@apollozac @markgurman

@markgurman skipping M6 Pro/Max entirely is the weird part

@tgod34748 @markgurman awesome!

@markgurman Will the OLED touch screen justify the price difference then?

@markgurman That’s not good lol. You wouldn’t want to waste that much money on a laptop with a chip that is basically already outdated in this day and age.

@markgurman 😂

@markgurman So I’ll just gonna buy the air for now

@apollozac @markgurman Step tracking ? Real time step tracking ?
