Xiaomi announced its Longjia Battery through the official @timexiaomi account. The company states the pack was developed with CALB and Sunwoda as part of a new battery strategy. It offers a guard plan that replaces the vehicle if a defect causes fire and covers any remaining insurance gap after a crash. Xiaomi claims the design passes stricter impact, thermal, electrical and data tests than national requirements. The announcement also notes retention of more than 80 percent capacity after 1,000 cycles. The post presents these features as part of Xiaomi's first major in-house battery effort.
