Jason Liu, creator of Instructor, argues that professionals who can easily explain their current work are underutilizing AI agents
Agentic integration complicates traditional status updates and task tracking.
Many users embrace AI agents for making work feel more dynamic and idea-driven rather than a simple todo list, while some resent the framing or cite access barriers.

@jxnlco I’m overqualified
if you can easily answer 'what are you working on' you're not using agents enough.

@jxnlco what aren't i working on!

@jxnlco Yes, though I find that putting immense agentic power into a few very important things is much better than trying to do 1000 things at a time.
Thinking about what is worth doing is still useful (for now).

@jxnlco i hate this but too accurate

@jxnlco coworker today: "So how does that work?" me: "I dunno, let me ask"
Brave new world, haha.

@jxnlco This is how it feels explaining how you are using codex

@jxnlco *am't

@theo @jxnlco Fr man.. What if we have a 120GB menagerie of unfinished projects??

@jxnlco Yeah like I have my agents going while I got the codex logo tattooed right now!

@jxnlco a coffee table! yesssss im using agents enough!!! 😅

@jxnlco I pushed Codex so hard Monday that I got rate limited until this weekend. Does that count?

@jxnlco Or compacting. 150k tokens (100k sys prompt + tools hit) is painful when codex loves to eat 50k per ripgrep

Used Codex today to analyze HANA log files, log entries stored in AWS cloudwatch, and VPC flow logs to figure out why we have intermittent backup failures to S3. It also used our design documents stored in Veeva.
In the end, provided information and reason why the failures are happening. I then based on reason it provided was able to confirm it. All in all, less then an hour. Would have taken many hours if not days otherwise.
It is not just for coding or creating, can also be used for troubleshooting. Scanning log files, checking status, reading design documents to understand how it works and flows.

@jxnlco I barely know what day it is. 😁

@jxnlco This and that… you know… generating shareholder value

@jxnlco If you still have to tweet this yourself, you don’t have enough agents.

@jxnlco if the answer is one sentence, you’re probably still doing the busywork yourself
the real edge is having too many agents to even summarize

@jxnlco No i can't say what i am working on . Because i work on many things.

@jxnlco whenever someone asks me that i just forward my agents response lol

@jxnlco i asked chatgpt
