Anthropic reportedly consults law firms on fair negotiation norms for AI agents

The Decoder, citing the Financial Times, reports that Anthropic is consulting law firms on fair negotiation norms for AI agents acting on users’ behalf. The proposed agents could haggle over prices, resolve complaints or improve contract offers. The Decoder also says Anthropic is hiring lawyers to test Claude on judgment-heavy questions, where clear-cut answers can be hard to define.
