Anthropic Adds Watermarking to Future Claude Models
Anthropic announces watermarking for future Claude models to identify AI-generated text.
Anthropic announced that future Claude models will generate text containing a watermark. The feature is meant to indicate the likelihood that Claude contributed to a piece of writing. The company stated it is implementing this step along with other major AI providers that signed the same Code of Practice. The move is intended to meet requirements under the EU AI Act. Anthropic also published an FAQ addressing questions about how the watermarking system will work.

Yishan@yishanIt’s ironic because Claude output is the most recognizable AI output of all the models. You don’t need a watermark to know Claude wrote something. (I’m 100% in favor of AI watermarking, I just think Anthropic is the last company that needs to do it)
