My impression is that Anthropic is sandbagging more than OpenAI though. Mythos has existed since February.
I don't think OpenAI has a comparable model they are unwilling to even talk about?

They are both fresh pretrains, probably of roughly similar scale. Mythos preview was the first real post train. Likewise for 5.5. So Ant had a bit of a headstart on this generation, maybe 1-2 months at most, but I'd be surprised by more or a growing one
