I’m just gonna come out and say it because the United States is fucking around way too much and completely missed the ball on open weights… Chinese are dominating and their #1 example is @Zai_org who make the GLM models, now at the Anthropic frontier level!!
Z just went from $6 bil to over $100 billion market cap in the public markets (HKEX) in the last SIX months … and they can totally be a trillion dollar company before the end of the year potentially, but certainly before the end of next year … which would mean they would be the first trillion dollar commercial open source company in history.
