The Times of India, citing the South China Morning Post, reports that China is expanding its Lop Nur flight-test facility to speed development of next-generation military aircraft as Beijing and Washington compete for air-power dominance. It says satellite imagery shows construction of four large hangars and new taxiways, a circular pad believed to be used for engine testing or aircraft turnaround, and possible fuel-storage infrastructure.
