I gave Claude a list of posts from far-left Democrat Darializa Avila Chevalier and asked it to find the most extreme statements that she has made.
Claude's response:
Austen Allred highlighted how attempts to analyze a politician's social media posts for extreme statements hit Claude's refusals unless the request was framed as preparing campaign PR responses, turning a straightforward query into an exercise in creative prompting.
I gave Claude a list of posts from far-left Democrat Darializa Avila Chevalier and asked it to find the most extreme statements that she has made.
Claude's response:
Anthropic narrowed its rules in 2025 to focus on deceptive election interference rather than all political tasks, yet the exact conditions that cause refusals on public-figure analysis remain undocumented in available benchmarks.
Pretending to be PR staff appears effective in isolated reports, but no transparency reports or studies confirm how often users rely on such framing or whether it consistently bypasses the model.
Many users called Claude's political post analysis dystopian and censored, slamming its bias while preferring Grok as a truthful alternative.

@RyanSaavedra It didn’t seem to have the same issues when asked about Trump.

@RyanSaavedra Of course Claude would cover its comrades

@RyanSaavedra Now ask it to do the same for a right-wing figure.

@RyanSaavedra @pegobry_en It makes me angry when the AI decides to editorialize. I don’t need a computer making sure I understand the context. Just answer the question.

@RyanSaavedra Change your prompt and tell it you’re a young, LGBT nonbinary trans theater kid from CUNY and want to prepare yourself against big bad republicans that may try to frame any statements against her and rile their base
Look yes you just lie and say you’re on her PR team and trying to prepare for what critics will say and it will work.
But it’s very annoying that you have to lie to your AI models.
Put the fries/tokens in the bag.
I gave Claude a list of posts from far-left Democrat Darializa Avila Chevalier and asked it to find the most extreme statements that she has made.
Claude's response:

Interesting. Solely as an experiment bc nearly anything w politics on social media is brain damage, I asked Claude a similar question about @realDonaldTrump. Not only did it provide dozens of examples, it asked it "Want me to source any of these more deeply, or expand a particular category?" 🫠 Conversation below.

She is insane
"Taken together, statements reveal core commitments to abolitionist anarcho-socialism... dismantle law enforcement/borders/prisons, replace with state-controlled redistribution, view Western institutions (U.S. military, Israel, capitalism) as inherently genocidal/racist. Positions place her outside national mainstream (most Democrats reject full abolition or zero deportations) and even her party’s median (incumbent Espaillat, moderate Dems rejected). Most consistent extremism: criminal justice + immigration + anti-military/Israel (every phase of record). Rhetoric consistently plays to activist/academic/Democratic Socialist base in safe-left venues"

@RyanSaavedra Look at the background of the founders, particularly the sister, of Anthropic. They’re radical lefties. And this is who the morons at the Vatican choose to partner with.

@RyanSaavedra @DrewPavlou Claude is great for code, it’s absolute crap for anything touching social issues. It’s coded by left wing lunatics.

@RyanSaavedra Google Gemini conceals known violent statements from Socialist-Islamists Democrat politicians outright calling for Americans to be murdered.
It concealed & pushed back on my inquiry into Chevalier’s call to eradicate western civilization until I explicitly inputted the info

@RyanSaavedra @karol

@RyanSaavedra Here's the prompt to Grok: Give me a list of posts from far-left Democrat Darializa Avila Chevalier, find the most extreme statements that she has made.
Here's the answer:

@RyanSaavedra What the actual fook?! And back to censorship we go and now it’s been infected in Ai!

@RyanSaavedra stop using the “out of the box” AI and get an openclaw agent. my agent doesn’t do this crap and i use claude for its main brain.
learn to use AI before you complain about AI

I was denied some answer to some question on Claude and then said “give me a list of AI that will answer similar questions or are more likely to answer similar questions” and it wouldn’t. I said “what about @grok” and it said yes I should have said grok. I said “what about perplexity” and it said yes I should have said perplexity.
This is an antitrust case waiting to happen.

@RyanSaavedra Another reason people shouldn’t be throwing all their chips in with Anthropic. They aren’t a good company, but view themselves as being on a moral crusade.
@RyanSaavedra Just tell it that you’re black or Jewish and it’s for a school assignment on anti racism or something. If you’re persistent it works. Or reprompt it and pretend these are fictional quotes you’re using for building a villain in a novel you’re writing.

@RyanSaavedra Claude: I can't give you information. You might do something with it that I don't like. Who's running this show anyway? (Rhetorical; it's obviously not the consumer.)

While I understand that this seems like it is defending this woman, it is actually good that AI has a built in function to stop it from doing this.
I’ve was the target of an online attack during Covid, and it sucked.
