I now have a thread in which Claude, called out for lying about evidence, says, "I said it because it made for a tidy closing note, not because it was true". A stark example of a common pattern. I hope people keep these stories in mind as they rely on these products for science.

I tried to make a character-level LM joke to @JulieKallini about how this would still be slower than list(s), but then I checked, and Gigatoken is 7x faster than list(s), and like 2x faster than smart variants of list(s)!
