TLDR

Neowin reports that Microsoft has acknowledged a Classic Outlook bug affecting Server Assisted Search. When users drag a search result to an adjacent folder, the item can remain in the results and trigger errors when clicked. Microsoft says the Outlook Team is investigating a hotfix, but there is no estimated arrival date. Temporarily disabling Server Assisted Search switches Outlook to legacy Windows Desktop Search as a workaround.
