Many users mocked the religious exemption allowing a software engineer to avoid using AI at work as an absurd stunt or impractical joke, sarcastically predicting negative career consequences like being laid off first.
wait it's not a joke

Incredible work. What a loophole.
Now if they get fired they can claim it was for religious reasons.

@paularambles Link?

@AndyMasley Sorry my religion forbids me from using any tools to be more productive.
Yep nope not even an abacus I’m sorry. Lemme get back to counting in my head so I can reconcile the books.

@paularambles PIP incoming

@paularambles The biggest stunt here was passing off UUs as religious.

@AlmostMedia @AndyMasley It is funny how people involve God/religion in everything,working, creating is fundamental human desire- I believe God/creator of universe intended it that way

@AlmostMedia @AndyMasley You are on 🔥 today.

@paularambles Ty 💕

@paularambles And now she’s a protected class. This is brilliant brb
used Claude to guess my bid for a hotel room upgrade yday (it was right / maybe a lil too high but still a great deal). Coasetopia around the corner

@paularambles my kingdom for a sample of that person's code

@paularambles Excellent way to get yourself laid off first in the next round.

@AndyMasley I just don’t see how this was granted. The Pope didn’t say it was a sin to use. Seems like overkill by the whoever granted the exemption( also probably granted by someone who does not at all understand the Catholic Church)

@anjulipie @AndyMasley I was on vacation last week so I got a weeks worth of posting to do 🤣🔥

@paularambles a lady working for FanDuel drew a moral line in the sand.

@AndyMasley In our culture anyone is free to be a stylite if they so wish. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stylite

@broeking @AndyMasley Same!

@NickADobos so the loophole protects the output not the output quality
