Many users showed excitement about buying SpaceX shares around IPO time despite Morningstar's 53% discount valuation, while others attacked the analysts or warned of post-IPO sell-offs hurting investors.
Nobody sane would pay list price for SpaceX.

@MikeIsaac Not such an outlier anymore. According to this breakdown, the SpaceX reach for $1.75T valuation is largely based on them valuing the enterprise portion of the AI biz at $800B! Which, considering the biz doesn't exist is...a stretch.

The great thing in finance is that you can put your money where your mouth is and align speculation with real predictive power. Polymarket prediction on closing price on ipo day says something else. SpaceX shares cost what SpaceX shares trade for, simple as that. Conventional valuations don’t make sense because SpaceX isn’t a conventional company

@MikeIsaac Morningstar has a bunch of woke clowns in chicago who barely understand financial statements. Avg age <27 LMFAO

@realmasroork @MikeIsaac "Polymarket is an accurate source of objective data " - no one

@MikeIsaac All the negative is baked in.
These ppl will chase the ipo at higher prices

You are entitled to your own opinion, but you’re not entitled to your own facts. In Just two weeks it’s become clear to me you’ve done no current research on Tesla whatsoever. You are likely not paying any attention to the details on SpaceX either . Instead of looking at your posts as informative,they’ve become almost memeish .

@MikeIsaac Toyota (283b), Waymo (126b), http://FIgure.AI (39b) combined valuation/ market cap of 448b, still ~1/3 of $TSLA as of today (1.28T) while doing way much better than Tesla in their own sectors. i don't doubt their number, but the market is not always pricing rationally

@MikeIsaac Professor Aswath Damodaran, is one of the most serious people in valuation and he did an awesome analysis on his youtube. Worth checking.

@MikeIsaac I highly doubt it will go that low on IPO day maybe in the future but on IPO day it's probably going high

@obrien @MikeIsaac SpaceX might be a buy from me at $8-$10 a share.

@MikeIsaac And once again the tactic works: overestimate your value by a hundred times, and journalists will think they're super critical if they believe only 47% of it.

@singhaniag @MikeIsaac No SpaceX is not profitable, they are burning cash on Grok and data centers same with OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Microsoft, google, oracle, core weave, Amazon, etc. I don’t think they survive.

@MikeIsaac The fact that "data centers in space working" is part of their projections is... a choice. https://newspaceeconomy.ca/2025/11/03/an-analysis-of-radiation-protection-in-the-nvidia-h100-gpu/

@realmasroork @MikeIsaac Tesla already is a conventional company. SpaceX is about to become one.
Same cycle of exceptionalism claims every time…it always ends exactly the same way…
…in conventional companies.
Then after a few years, everyone is bored, and a new cycle begins.

@DamirWallener @MikeIsaac Tesla is trying to make humanoid robots that will radically transform the economy. Once starship is fully operational SpaceX will be sending out tens of thousands of datacenter satellites to space. They have plenty of potential

@realmasroork @MikeIsaac Ok. So?
They’re still a conventional company.
You are conflating 48 different things together…

Terms don’t interest me. I’m saying when a normie analyst looks at numbers and makes a doomer normie prediction, I tend to not be interested in their opinion. They are the same type of a person that used to said private companies won’t be able to send anything to space, that Tesla self driving doesn’t work, that robotaxies are a scam, etc etc etc

@MikeIsaac It’s Morningstar man

@shiyyali88 don’t think this is about IPO pop/non pop but more just level setting on what actual fundamentals are
