@Turn_Trout @IASEAIorg @IASEAIorg can still show moral leadership by coming out strongly against the use of frontier AI for mass surveillance or autonomous weapons. And as member, I think there should be mechanisms for member-led initiatives and statements that are not subject to a leadership veto.

I was very disappointed when I learned about this from @Turn_Trout. What's the point of an international association of people concerned about AI safety and ethics if it can't organize to meet the moment? @IASEAIorg
