Paul Graham Pastes Suspect Emails Into Pangram Detector
The Y Combinator co-founder says he pastes suspicious messages into the tool instead of reading them.
Paul Graham posted that if an email seems written by AI he will paste it into Pangram to check instead of reading it, adding that the sender probably does not want that outcome. Animesh Garg replied that the behavior shows Pangram becoming a default workflow for Graham and called it PMF. The post contains no further details on how often Graham applies the step or on any other users.

This has been my default workflow to reduce email spam especially for cold inbounds. Thankfully, I hear the team鈥檚 working on something specifically for the email workflow!

@paulg What rough % of emails you receive end up being AI written? Feels like it's been a lot for me lately. Also the number of people who don't even get your name right in their automated emails is wild.
Artisanal emails = proof of thought AI-written emails = no proof of thought I'm deleting the emails with no evidence of thought behind them. (Thanks to @michael_nielsen for "writing used to be proof of thought" idea.)

@elidourado @michael_nielsen The annoying part is where the no-proof requires a lot more effort to suss out. That feels like a DDOS.
