Part of this is that it aligns more closely with the way I see things, that AI is more oil than god, so I’m a little biased. Something I realized listening is that maybe it’s oil-like but needs to be an even bigger version to keep the long term exponential going at this scale.
Sam has never sounded more detached from the world than he does when talking about committing a cyber attack against HF by accident. The idea that he feels the true import of this and the rest of the world isn’t paying attention is blatantly false. Everyone is talking about it.

Not to mention completely ignoring the fact that this was something that OAI had been repeatedly warned about by internal and external experts. The inability to say that they made a mistake or express remorse is also utterly crazy.
