It’s really seems like if you’re a company racing to accumulate as much wealth and power as possible then you are mandated to make occasional public statements to the tune of: “something something everyone / collectivism / democratisation / etc”. It happens like clockwork with these companies; just tick that little egalitarianism box and then get back to doing the exact opposite thing. Why are they compelled to do this? Why do they bother when nobody buys it? Honestly it’s so cartoonish it might as well be giant neon sign saying that you’re trying to take over the world.
